Adelaide - Will It Be The Burial Ground!

Indian Cricket Teams - Thunder Down Under!

Come 24th January and you will be witnessing already battered and for certain lost Indian team against Australia at Adelaide. It would be the 4th and final test match of the series. India has already lost the series, so now its pride they play for. Australia has taken an unassailable lead of 3-0 in the series. A whitewash looks certain. So will Adelaide be the burial grounds or will India rise from ashes and sour high into the sky like phoenix.

Well its quiet clear that after poor show by Indian team in the ongoing series, we will see many old horses being forced to retire. Even if they won't do it on their own, BCCI axe will do the job. Top on the list are likes of Laxman and Dravid. They have been fantastic players in the past but then nothing can last forever, especially when you don't have good performances in real time. They will spare Sachin for now, for he is going to be the one retained for the reason being abundance of experience. Although it’s just to bask in his glory when he hits his 100th ton.

Give Youngsters More Chance.

Coming back to current series, I feel although senior Indian players failed to deliver, youngsters like Yadav and Kohli showed promise. May be with Rohit Sharma in the playing 11 in the next game along with someone like Ojha we would get to see more of youngsters.

Test cricket is the real cricket, I always believe in it. ODI and quick fire T20 might have glorified and made the sport more saleable. But its Test cricket where the real cricketer is judged, the patience, the technique, the precision and the intelligence needed to excel is the true parameter to judge a player. Test’s are the real deal. Ricky Ponting, Dravid, Laxman, Kallis, Warne, Sachin, Lara and the likes of them are admired worldwide today because they are good test players.

To conclude, I hope Indian team comes back with a bang in the last game. It’s not always about winning; it’s about the fight and strong performance too. Hoping I would have much nicer things to write when the 4th Test concludes. It’s hope of billions of Indians. After all every fan no matter which country he belongs would like his home side to do well.

Which youngsters are you talking about buddy. Rohit sharma !!!! who has been given chances more than anyone else.
People are talking about asking the seniors to leave. who do you have to replace them. Cheteshwar pujara...ROFL...biggest joke.
The system has to change. Firstly we should do away froom making or preparing BALD pitches and getting used to seeing SIXES.
I have forgotten the last time a FAST Indian bowler breaking stumps.
Our won captain cool says that he is contemplating to stop playing Test cricket , but our man wants to continue with the IPL ( for big bucks ) offcourse

@ Gururaj M S: Well its true that lure of IPL has effected player performances over last few years. Younger players may not be limited to those on the bench, its time BCCI took keen interest in improving cricket at grass root level to prepare a stronger team for the future.
